The documentary followed the work of those who, in the aftermath of the outbreak of war, immediately took action, even at the risk of their own lives, to secure works of art and tried to understand why, in the event of war, destroying and plundering works of art is one of the first objectives of invading armies in an attempt to eliminate the culture of a nation to erase its memory and annihilate its essence.
TIZIANA LUPI is a journalist, an the author of historical and religious documentaries. She has worked for various Rai and Mediaset programs and has written some episodes of the successful TV series DON MATTEO . She co-directed OUR POPE (2019) with Marco Spagnoli. Tiziana wrote and directed the documentary L’ARTE DELLA GUERRA (2022) for Rai Documentari (with Marco Spagnoli).
MARCO SPAGNOLI is a Journalist, Film and TV Critic, Writer and Director, Marco Spagnoli is steadily working in the entertainment and media industry since he was 20. He’s the Head of Unscripted Division at Mia Market Italy and he collaborates to several film and TV events across the country. As a Documentary director he has been nominated three times to Italian Academy Award and won a Silver Ribbon with his documentaries on cinema history. Many of his works were awarded in International Festivals. Spagnoli is the editor of Il giornale dello Spettacolo, the most respected trade magazine in Italy. He wrote the first Podcast for Amazon about Italian Cinema titled Interno Giorno.
